Observation: The Elements of Social Perception
Social Perceive rs rely on indirect clues from others for s complete understanding of others.
Some Elements are described as follows
***Judging a book by its cover:People:Snap judgments are often based on the other persons physical appearance such as, an adult with child-like faces & behavioral habits like a child.
***Situations as The Scripts of Life or Preconceptions tend to guide our interpretations of behavior.
***Behavioral Evidence: The meaning of this is derived from behavior divided into discrete meaningful units.
*** Nonverbal behaviors use determines how others are feeling. Ex: this can be viewed from the others facial expressions such as, identifying surprise, anger, disgust, fear, sadness, and happiness emotions.
***Body Language such as touching or gazing also play on nonverbal communication.
***They use these nonverbal cues to detect deception..............................
